Sailwinds Medical Group was founded to bring compassionate, patient-centered healthcare to Maryland’s Eastern Shore — inspired by the sense of community and calm found at Sailwinds Park in Cambridge, where our story began. What started as a local dream among three healthcare providers has grown into a multi-specialty practice serving patients across Salisbury and Cambridge.

Founded by Mark Malkus, MD, Pete Lerza, DNP, and Brandon McMullen, PA-C, Sailwinds Medical Group was built on a shared vision: to create a place where clinicians, team members, and patients all feel valued, supported, and proud to belong. When everyone feels passionate about what they do and appreciated for who they are, compassion naturally flows — and everyone experiences greater care and connection.
