About

Program Description The Primary Care Medical Assistant Training Program is a self-paced, eight-week course created by Pete Lerza, DNP. It prepares learners with a high school education to perform the core responsibilities of a primary care medical assistant. The course focuses on practical, real-world skills including intake workflows, vital signs, protocol testing, medication safety, injections, infection control, documentation, patient portal triage, and professional communication. Upon completing all modules and meeting the assessment requirements, learners receive a certificate of completion. Disclaimer This program provides skills training for medical assistants but is not accredited, does not award continuing education units, and does not grant state or national certification. Completion of this course does not authorize learners to perform tasks outside their legal scope of practice. All clinical work must be supervised according to employer policies and state regulations. Some content within this program is generated with the assistance of artificial intelligence and reviewed for accuracy.
